1. What does my monetary donation support?
Your donation directly fuels our mission. It helps us:
Ship goods to the Dominican Republic.
Cover operational and logistical costs.
Support our dedicated team.
Expand and strengthen our community programs.
Purchase essential, urgently needed items.
We're also working toward long-term goals:
Community Center (Dec 2027): A hub in San Pedro de Macorís for receiving/distributing donations, offering after-school programs, health screenings, parenting seminars, and performances for children.
Delivery Van (June 2026): A versatile vehicle to enhance delivery capacity to nursing homes, families, and community sites. It will be modifiable for both cargo and group transport.
Program Expansion: Reaching 20 families by Dec 2025 and 10 nursing homes by June 2026.
Sustainable Support: Building a base of recurring donors to provide steady, long-term assistance.
2. What is Fundacion 23?
Fundacion 23 is a New Jersey nonprofit organization uplifting communities in the Dominican Republic. We’re passionate about supporting families and nursing homes as well a creating program to educate and create a better future.
3. Are my donations tax-deductible?
Yes! Fundacion 23 is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit in New Jersey. Your monetary donations are tax-deductible in the U.S. Be sure to save your donation receipt, which will be emailed to you after your contribution.
4. How can I donate?
You can support us in several ways:
Online through our website.
Shopping our Walmart Registry (see below).
Donation platforms like PayPal Giving Fund, Walmart Spark Good, Deed, and more.
In-kind donations (contact us for drop-off or shipping info).
5. How do I shop and donate through Walmart?
It’s easy! Just follow these steps:
Visit the Walmart Registry section on Walmart.com or click the link on our website.
Search for Fundacion 23.
Browse and select the essential items listed.
Add them to your cart and proceed to checkout.
Select our shipping address — please note: the address may show as San Juan, Puerto Rico, which is logistically easier for us to forward items to the Dominican Republic.
6. What type of support does Fundacion 23 provide?
We currently focus on:
Distributing non-perishable foods and essentials to families and seniors in nursing homes.
Hosting community outreach and cultural events.
Collaborating on education and wellness initiatives.

We work actively in New Jersey (USA) and San Pedro de Macoris (Dominican Republic). Our efforts span both countries to bridge support from donors to those in need.

The number 23 is a nod to San Pedro de Macoris, affectionately called "Serie 23" by locals. It represents our deep cultural roots and ongoing commitment to that community.
