Fundacion 23 is a New Jersey–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families, nursing homes, and vulnerable communities in the Dominican Republic. Our mission is to empower people through education, culture, food assistance, and community programs.
The number 23 is a tribute to San Pedro de Macorís in the Dominican Republic, affectionately known as “Serie 23.” It reflects our cultural roots and ongoing commitment to the community.
General (Use as needed):
Your donation will be used where it is most needed at the time, helping to keep all our programs active.
Support for families and nursing homes:
These donations are used to cover basic needs in nursing homes and families, including food, hygiene products, and emergency assistance.
Construction of a Community Center and Donation Center:
These donations are saved until the necessary amount is raised to purchase or build a community center in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic, which will serve as a base for our activities and distribution of aid.
Construction of a Church:
We are helping to build a church in La Punta Pescadora, San Pedro de Macoris, DR.
Fund for Scholarships and Educational Seminars:
These contributions are accumulated to award scholarships to outstanding students and to organize educational seminars that guide parents and young people on key issues for their development.
Transportation:
We seek to have a reliable vehicle that facilitates logistics and transportation in our community activities and donation deliveries.
Your donation directly advances our mission by helping us:
1. Send goods to the Dominican Republic.
2. Cover operational and logistical costs.
3. Support our dedicated team.
4. Expand and strengthen community programs.
5. Purchase urgently needed items.
Long-term goals include:
1. Community Center (Dec. 2027): A hub in San Pedro de Macorís for distributing donations, after-school programs, wellness screenings, parenting seminars, and performances for children.
2. Delivery Van (June 2026): A versatile vehicle to reach nursing homes, families, and community centers.
3. Program Expansion: Reaching 20 families by Dec. 2025 and 10 nursing homes by June 2026.
4. Sustainable Support: Building a recurring donor base for consistent long-term impact.
Yes. Fundacion 23 is a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
You can support us in several ways:
1. Online through our website.
2. Through donation platforms such as PayPal Giving Fund, Walmart Spark Good, Deed, and others. Just search for Fundacion 23.
3. Shopping through our Walmart Registry (see next question).
4. Donating items purchased at other stores (see shipping instructions in question #8).

We accept new or gently used clothing in excellent condition, including shoes, shirts, pants, and other items. All mailed donations and small packages should be sent to:
